U4 (U-FO) chair explores the juxtaposition of contradictions. Often, we fully understand something only by discovering its opposite. Soft and rough, hot and cold, war and peace, rudeness and tenderness.
The chair is made out of rough metal and soft fabric to invite users to appreciate differences but also realise that they form one. The metal base merges with top and forms continuous shapes as the object rotates. The shape of the seat reminds us of a UFO to suggest of the existence of the unknown.
